Strawberry Surprise Smoothie

Smashed an early workout? Now give your morning an extra kick with the secret veg hidden in this protein smoothie. A frozen zucchini adds not just nutrients, but a super creamy texture.

 

INGREDIENTS based on 1 serving

1⁄2 cup (125ml) milk, reduced fat (or dairy-free alternative) 

1⁄4 cup (63ml) water add more if needed

1⁄4 cup (30g) vanilla protein powder (or natural protein powder) 

1⁄2 cup (70g) frozen strawberries 

1⁄2 zucchini (medium) roughly chopped & frozen

1⁄2 tbs almond butter (or other nut butter) 

1⁄2 tbs chia seeds plus extra to serve

ground cinnamon pinch

4-6 ice cubes

 

METHOD

Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender for 1-2 minutes or until smooth. Scatter a few extra chia seeds on top to serve.
