DOPAMINE is a game changer

After dialling in on Andrew Huberman’s podcast today, I thought it would be valuable to share some insights on dopamine and how it affects our health and performance.

Dopamine is a game-changer when it comes to motivation, but many of us get caught up in artificial highs—chasing stimulants like excess caffeine or energy drinks. Huberman emphasised that dopamine works best when we stop relying on quick fixes and, instead, focus on sustainable methods for boosting our dopamine levels.

 Here are some key takeaways:

  • Stress can actually boost your immune system—if you manage it with kindness and get 6-8 hours of sleep.

  • Engage your parasympathetic system with long, deep breaths to activate your "rest and digest" mode.

  • Get some sunlight daily (best first thing in the morning to increase cortisol), stay hydrated (drink a litre of water first up), and make movement part of your routine (schedule your workouts in for the week).

  • Be a creator, not just a consumer—reduce screen time and engage in activities that fuel your purpose and creativity.

Health is about ticking the small boxes, consistently. Start by actioning one thing weekly to build lasting habits. These little wins create a solid foundation for long-term wellness.

Speaking of health, if you’re ready to jet-set into your summer physique, now’s the time to start! I’ve designed an 8-week program that focuses on process goals to get you to the big picture.

Continuing to learn and apply the best practices for you all is my priority—it’s how we grow together.

Remember: Growth happens every day if you let it. Keep showing up and putting in the work!
